The sound produced by this microphone is crystal clear. Maybe I'm missing something here, so I'll definitely look into that.
You seem to be able to control the volume with it, but that is also possible with the volume button on the headset itself. I don't quite understand the function of this. If I have to mention a downside, it was that I had to look for the Engine 3 software. I have not yet been able to test 7.1 gaming, but I assume that this will give the same experience. Of course I immediately did a test with a 7.1 sound recording, and it gave me butterflies in my stomach. You can turn on the 7.1 sound via the software. If you install the Steelseries Engine 3, you can also EQ the sound to your own taste, and there are also presets available for gaming, of course, but also movies, music, etc.
Now I'm not an audiophile (that's what you call it) but I do like beautiful sound. As far as I'm concerned 5 stars for the design and comfort. The so-called ski strap is well adjustable, even for my small head, and you don't feel it. The headset pads are very soft and don't get very hot. The adjustable LED lighting is not a functional addition, but it does complete the design. Those are two things that don't often come together. The design is modern, but also comfortable. Finally the Steelseries Arctis 5 white arrived, and what a beautiful headset it is!
